No Religion Higher Than Truth: Parsing the Heart of Contemporary Theosophy

SPECIAL EVENT – THURSDAY – April 23rd  (lecture only 7:00 pm)

Rabbi Rami Shapiro

Every religion has its “motto.” Judaism, or example, has “Hear O Israel God is One;” and Christianity has “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The motto of the Theosophical Society, however, is different from that of the others in that it isn’t self-referential but points beyond itself to the possibility of Truth. In this brief exploration of the Theosophical motto we shall explore just what that Truth might be.

Rabbi Rami, co-directs the One River Foundation, a global network of spiritually independent seekers, creatives, activists, and holy rascals reclaiming and proclaiming the Perennial Wisdom at the mystic heart of the world’s religions.
