Chapter 11: Development of the Higher Mind

Without a clear understanding of the relationship between the personality and the Higher Self, confusion will constantly arise in the mind clouding the intelligence and throwing a dark shadow on the path one is treading. By training the personality to align it with the Higher Ego, the personality can be used for more spiritual and far-seeing purposes, thus yielding a rich harvest to use for the development of the Higher Mind.

HP Blavatsky tells us that all virtues are founded on the recognition of the One Life. Conversely, the root of all “sin” is selfishness, calculating only what one is getting out of things, without consideration of the welfare of others.
